What is EVT Productions?
All Corrientes music is recorded, mixed, and produced by Ivette Torres in a home studio. There is a section on the Corrientes website named "EVT Productions" which is dedicated to Corrientes recording information. New songs are posted in this section with information on the equipment and techniques used on the recordings.

BRIAN SPEAKER: revolution of one
Peek inside the life of a NYC singer/songwriter. Follow him on a journey from his "time of Independence", to winning "...the award for being the Loneliest Man in the world."
Like the intro track ?Get Lifted Again? on his debut album ?My Turn?, Singer/Songwriter, Jermane dares you to go soar above the limits. His music fills the room with a quiet intensity of unbridled emotions, and a charm that is only matched by his honesty. Not afraid to show that falling in love is still one of the most important things in his life, and finding that special someone is a necessary experience for all. In years past, he will confess that his lyrics were used to get the girls, but Guyana born, New York bred Jermane has matured, and his lyrics now reflect his heightened state of mind. Growing up on the corners of New York, he has seen his fair bit of the block hustle. He rolled with the boys and has had his bittersweet stories of love, hate and seemingly unending anger and frustration, all of which held their space in his song book. He is a writer first and foremost, a word manipulator, a rhyme generator, eternally dictating the ways of the world with a pen in his right hand, a strong emotion in his heart, and a beat in his head. As the years passed, people came, and sadly people went, including one of his closest friends, but out of the ash a new empire will always rise. ?Impossible is nothing? is the official motto of the Charles camp, wise words left with him by the dearly departed. Even in the face of great uncertainty Jermane still manages to emerge ten steps ahead and better in spite of adversity. With the difficulties that have come, those that have been overcome and even with the new ones that will replace the old, Jermane is now equipped to withstand the hardships. With a strong support system behind him, stemming from his immediate family to his new extended family, there will be no looking back. His demo album ?My Turn? will showcase his first works as an R&B artiste. This was a surprise for all including Jermane, as his first love was the beat and flow of rap music. However on the completion of ?Slow Love? the shift was decided. Fueled by the tracks ?I Don?t Need a Shrink? and ??Til I Die?, there is no doubt that this album is as it should be, and with a bit of rap and dance flavour blended in, the album is destined to be listening perfection. So keep your ears open, and your eyes on the sky. Jermane Charles is coming hard, is the world ready? Are you ready? ... Others have come, taken up residence and done their bit, but right now all Jermane has to say is ?My Turn?.

As a young male R & B singer with crossover appeal, it?s highly likely that MikeLyrik will be grouped together with the category of Usher, B2K or even Ginuwine. But the "Jam-erican" Mt. Vernon, NY native has such a unique brand of pop/ soul that he is destined to be set apart as an exclusive, well-rounded artist rather than a facsimile R&B/ pop sensation.
Acquiring inspiration from eclectic artists such as Prince, Al Green, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Madonna and of course Michael Jackson, MikeLyrik?s music can be best described as a keen blend of R&B, hip-hop, alternative,reggae and pop genres with intense passion and vision yet to be realized.
Drive and determination have been daily essentials after a couple failed group attempts and the loss of his father to cancer at the influential age of 16. Completing several advanced theater, voice and dance classes at Lehman College in Bronx, NY and taking classes at the Alvin Ailey School of Dance and Manhattan?s Broadway Dance Center, MikeLyrik?s focus on ascending his craft has been snowballing since entering the performance circuit about 4 years ago.
MikeLyrik performed at the 1st annual Memorial Celebration of Dr. Betty Shabazz, hosted by Malik Yoba (of former Fox Network NY Undercover fame), and Ananda Lewis (MTV) @ the Memorial Field Stadium in Mt. Vernon NY. From that riveting gospel performance, he was mounted to open for Hidden Beach Records Jazz Recording artist Mike Phillips. Several prominent showcases, fashion shows and special events later his training as an actor permitted him the part of the main character in "THE DANCE", an independent film short by director Lynda J. Moore, filmed in NYC and featured on the Independent Film Channel in 2004.
MikeLyrik linked up with the independent Brooklyn based GoldenChylde Entertainment Group shortly thereafter and recorded several songs with some of the most amazing undiscovered talented producers. The steady, yet unhurried pace of his development was augmented with the release of his single "Event Exclusive" to college radio stations throughout the tri-state area and on soundclick.com. The song received high acclaim(shouted out on the Wendy Williams-WBLS show) and was secured as the theme song for the website EventExclusiveS.com. It also received heavy airplay on PROMO Radio 91.9 FM through Urban Threshold Entertainment.
Performing in NYC, DC, NJ, PA, opening for major artists like Styles P,Remy Ma & Young Jeezy, among other venues, MikeLyrik delivered an unforgettable performance @ The 2005 New York International Festival where he was interviewed by IFC Magazine as an undiscovered RISING star. "The song is a laid back, yet crunked-up ode to the diversity of quality time in relationships" MikeLyrik calmly exclaimed.
In 2006, MikeLyrik was nominated for the BEST MALE R&B Underground Artist @ the 2006 Underground Music Awards which took place @ the world famous BB Kings in Times Sq. NY! An appearance on MTV-TEMPO (the West Indies MTV channel), his myspace.com website & footage from his charismatic performances from all over on youtube.com served as vehicle for an overwhelming fan response to his music and style! TriTriad Productions, an underground distribution company quickly seized MikeLyrik to release a single ?What Can I Say (So Beautiful)? in the UK which is STILL creating a heavy buzz overseas! The song also features a music video directed by up & coming director Roland Bishop II.
For certain artists, success is the culmination of talent, hard work, patience, luck of the draw, and the right place, time & people? With most of these resources well in effect, MikeLyrik?s success are exclusively destined?

E. Grizzly edged out thousands of rappers internationally to win top honors as the independent
rap artist of the year for his album Hip-hop is dead! at the 16th Annual International Los Angeles Music Awards.
The LA Music Awards are the largest, and longest running award show for independent artists. The award
show took place in Hollywood, CA, on November 9th, 2006. The winners were selected through blind judging
which means the judges were asked to grade music without knowing who the artist was. "It's kind of hard
to believe," says E. Grizzly whose real name is Erik Tirado. "I just love to make music. I didn't expect to
get an award for it."
E. Grizzly, who lives in Miami, FL, was also nominated for best breakthrough album of the year for his album
