Tantalizing Troupe Presents Gorgeous Classical Renditions of Beatles Favs

(New York, NY) - Singer/songwriter Jeff Lake teams up with Grammy-nominated violinist Susan Aquila and company, to form "Cellophane Flowers” — a neo-classical spin on the music of the Fab Four.

The group has released a new music video in support of their psychedelic mashup “Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows” —  which can be found on the Dreamworks/ Universal Film “Shrek” sound-track playlist on Spotify alongside artists such as Smashmouth, Counting Crows, Fergie, Harry Chapin, Lionel Richie, Macy Gray, The Carpenters, & the Beastie Boys among others:

The production here is in stark contrast to the group’s album title track, “Penny Lane”, which offers a minimalistic baroque-era approach — string quartet & voice.  This track is now featured on Disney’s “Zombie” soundtrack playlist — also on Spotify.

Jeff Lake was honored to play a virtual birthday bash on 6/18/21 in honor of Sir Paul McCartney’s 79th birthday.

The Spotify placements, along with a growing social media presence and monthly virtual gigs on the Beatles Fest Facebook site —  have resulted in 12,250 monthly followers at present.

The “Penny Lane” collection is available on CD at Amazon, Walmart, Barne’s & Noble, & Tower Records. It’s also available on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, & Deezer, as well as digital download at the iTunes store.

Look for Jeff Lake’s new EP, “Field of Grass’ to be released internationally via The Orchard later this summer.
